Speed Test on a Dribble Activity.

During my time in Little Rock, I prepared the same dribble activities for all the players that I had in individual coaching. I did the test on the first day of training with the players and the last day of training. The goal is to see if I can have improvement statistically. Moreover, I recorded the results to see if the body movement and the dribbling capacities of the athletes were better than the first day.

Speed Text Explanation

During this test the player must make a slalom from left to right. Then he has to return slightly on these steps and then go back to front with a sequence of "double contact". After that he chooses to take either the right or the left, slalom the 3 poles and shoots in the mini goal. The interesting thing about this course is that the player moves in all directions. Moreover, he has to use both feet and all the surfaces of the foot.
In this video we see Jack during his first session. I timed his first trial and added a note about his body movement and coordination (see Result).

Each player was evaluated during their first trial and their first session with me. Each of them was also evaluated during their last session with me, in order to track possible progress. The evaluation is divided in two parts. The first part corresponds to the time they have completed the course in. The second part is what I evaluated about their coordination and body movement.
